Steelers vs Browns Week 14
The Pittsburgh Steelers maintain the best record in the AFC by improving to 10 and 3 on the season.
Despite the Elite win loss record, they currently only hold the 5 seed in the AFC playoff picture. This is because they’ve lost 2 to their biggest Rivals both in Baltimore and while at home, giving the Ravens the first place spot in the AFC North with the same record.
In week 14 of the 2011 NFL season, the Steelers hosted the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football.
Ancient Rivalry
The All Time series of these 2 teams is closer than the average fan may think. The All Time record of this Ancient Rivalry is The Steelers 60 and the Browns 56. Recent history makes it seem totally one sided and the Steelers had won 12 straight against the Browns prior to the 2009 season.
After the Week 14 match-up in Pittsburgh the Steelers are now on a 2 and 0 with a game in Cleveland during week 17 still on the schedule.
Final Score : Steelers 14 – Browns 3
Whether or not the Steelers “need” the game, you can expect a hard fought slug fest just like these 2 teams gave the Heinz Field crowd in Prime Time. While the Browns are indeed on the schedule again, Head Coach Mike Tomlin has his squad thinking about one team and one team only and that team is the Mighty 49ers – the Steelers week 15 opponent.

The 49ers are 10 and 2 heading into week 14 and will likely be without their All Pro MLB Patrick Willis.
They will however be in their own house and in their own time zone while the Steelers have to go on the long trip west to play a very good 49er squad.
The new look, 10 win 49ers are built a lot like the Steelers, defense first, productive offense. The 9ers run the football a lot better than the Steelers though, and that will most likely be the key to the week 15 match up in San Fran.
The Steelers must stop 49ers RB Frank Gore if they want to record their 11th win and keep hope alive for an AFC North Title.
